May Ecology Club: The Blooming Phoenix - Wildflowers After Wildfire

Wednesday, May 9, 2018 - 6:30pm to 8:30pm

Wildfire has been a very misunderstood but essential and beneficial aspect of our forests. For this month's Ecology Club talk, Rachel Freifelder, an ecologist specializing in wildfire, climate change and biological invasions, will lead a discussion on these controversial topics in the context of our northwest native ecosystems.

At the close of the meeting we will leave time open to further explore the topics of the evening, delve deeper into Bark's work to protect Mt Hood and browse the Bark library. Come peruse our newly acquired selection of resources on everything from hiking to climate justice, and learn about what you can do to protect Mt. Hood National Forest!
