Bark + FUSEE Fire Ecology Hike
Bark and FUSEE (Firefighters United for Safety, Ethics, and Ecology) are teaming up for a fire ecology hike!
Join us for a guided hike through the Mt. Hood National Forest in an area affected by the 2020 Riverside Fire. Together, we’ll explore how fire shapes forest ecosystems and how native plants respond and recover after wildfire.
Whether you’re curious about the science behind wildfire, interested in local ecology, or just looking to connect with others who care about forests and fire, this is a perfect opportunity to engage with experts and the land itself.
The exact trail details are still being finalized, but the hike will be 1 – 1.5hrs from Portland on the Clackamas River Ranger District. The final location will be shared with registrants prior to the hike!
