Bark + FUSEE Fire Ecology Hike

Bark and FUSEE (Firefighters United for Safety, Ethics, and Ecology) are teaming up for a fire ecology hike!

Join us for a guided hike through the Mt. Hood National Forest in an area affected by the 2020 Riverside Fire. Together, we’ll explore how fire shapes forest ecosystems and how native plants respond and recover after wildfire.

Whether you’re curious about the science behind wildfire, interested in local ecology, or just looking to connect with others who care about forests and fire, this is a perfect opportunity to engage with experts and the land itself.

Elevation Gain: None, with mild/moderate ups and downs.

Length: ~3 miles out and back.

The hike is ~1.15 hrs from Portland near the Rainbow Campground on the Clackamas River Ranger District. Exact details will be sent to you upon registration.
