Forest Watch Committee

** This month’s Forest Watch meeting will be hitting the road and heading to Estacada for the Clackamas River Ranger District Open House. The Open House is located at the Estacada Public Library from 5 – 7pm. Reach out to Jordan (jordan@bark-out.org) if you would like to join. **

The Forest Watch Committee is Bark’s group of dedicated volunteers who keep watch over Mt Hood National Forest and gain a more in-depth understanding of how National Forests are managed. We meet monthly to discuss projects on Mt Hood, prioritize areas to groundtruth, collaborate on NEPA comments, and strategize our response to destructive proposals. As needed, we will discuss and collaborate on regional or national environmental policy changes related to our work.

If you want to be more informed and involved with actions proposed on Mt Hood National Forest and meet others who share your interests, the Forest Watch Committee is a great place to be!

If you are interested in joining Forest Watch Committee, please reach out to Jordan, Bark’s Forest Watch Program Manager (jordan@bark-out.org) for more information and to be added to the email list. We meet on the third Tuesday of each month from 6-8pm, usually in the Bark office.
