August Bark About Hike: Meadows and Medicine

Date:
Sunday, August 12, 2018 - 9:00am to 5:00pm

Join hike leaders Skyland, Veronica, and Kyla to explore some of Mt. Hood's intact meadow habitat, and learn about these ecosystems ability to provide homes for wildlife, medicinal plants, and to store carbon. This is a great opportunity to brush up on your native plant ID, and also learn about Bark's up-and-coming work to restore beaver habitat in the Clackamas watershed. Our hike leaders are passionate, knowledgeable volunteers who incorporate information about forest ecology and policy with how to get involved in our efforts!

Carpools leave from the Hollywood Grocery Outlet, 4420 Ne Hancock Street, (a few blocks from the Hollywood Transit Center, at the I-84 exit 2) in Portland at 9am sharp. If you are able to drive, we greatly appreciate your contribution to helping make a successful hike. If you are looking for a ride, please come prepared to reimburse your driver.  If you would like to arrange a meet-up closer to the forest, please let us know by giving us a call at our number below.

Bring a lunch, water, and anything else you'll need to stay comfortable in the forest. To protect off-trail resources, we ask you to leave your dog at home.

Call Bark at 503-331-0374 for more details and information.

If you are willing to drive in our carpool, please review Bark's Driver Safety Expectations before coming.
