Take 3 Timber Sale

This is a view of a clearcut next to an event age plantation in part of the Take 3 Timber Sale.

In October of 2014, Bark and Oregon Wild negotiated with the BLM to remove Unit 4 from the Take 3 Timber Sale (approximately 7 acres of Riparian areas and mature forest) and not constructing 0.1 miles of planned temporary road across private land that would have been used to access Unit 4. The BLM also modifed the Take 3 Timber Sale by removing 1 acre of 96 year old timber in Unit 6 from the timber sale contract.

These 370 acres are in the Eagle Creek Watershed, and contain stands of trees up to 90 years of age. The units in section 11 overlap with the Rusty Saw sale 10 years ago.

Roads

While we are unsure of the final numbers of road miles to be added to this proposal our preliminary visit showed that many roads listed on the map are non-existent at this point.
