Beaver Club (FULL!)

Beaver Club season is back! Beavers are most active in late summer and early fall and it’s the perfect chance to spot them hard at work on Portland metro waterways.

Beaver Club is a pre-sunrise chance to see beavers hard at work before they rest for the day. We’ll meet at an urban wetland with chairs, hot beverages and binoculars to watch our favorite restoration technicians do what they do best. Please note that seeing beaver(s) is not guaranteed! Beavers move often, spending plenty of time in their dens, underwater and in other less visible areas.

Beavers are not a fan of commotion so this will be a small, quiet event. Meg is happy to answer a few pressing questions but talking will be limited. No animals or small children for this reason.

This edition of Beaver Club will be hosted at Errol Heights City Park! Enter the park at the entrance on SE 45th between Tenino St and Umatilla St- there is also street parking here as well as across the street in the neighborhood. From this entrance, walk on the path east towards the inner part of the park until you see our group. Plan to arrive at 7:15am to be prepared for sunrise at 7:32! We will hang out and observe and chat quietly until roughly 8:45.
