Inner Bark: Intro to Mushrooms
Want to get started foraging for fungi, but don’t know where to start? Have you been warned about the dangers of wild mushrooms but love a good Porcini? Come learn the basics to get you understanding the larger world of fungi. Color, gill shape, and where it grows are all great indicators, once you have the confidence to try. We will cover foraging etiquette, identifying common mushrooms in the Pacific Northwest, and the safe identification of a few ‘easy’ mushrooms.
The location of the training itself will be indoors at Bark’s Office at 351 NE 18th Avenue, Portland, OR. 97232. This event will be classroom style learning so bring pencil and paper. Gender-neutral restrooms will be available.
