2026 Earth Day Celebration

Portland’s official Earth Day celebration is BACK! Join local environmental nonprofits for an afternoon of celebrating mother earth. There will be DJs, performers, a costume contest, and a parade that everyone is welcome to join!

11-1pm: Say hi to local nonprofits, don your costumes, do some crafts, and get ready for the parade!

1pm: Parade
Giant puppets and marching bands will lead us along a one-mile route, singing and dancing all the way. This family-friendly procession is open to everyone—costumed or not! Come, walk with us, and share in the joy of connecting over our care about the planet.

2pm: Party
DJs PLNTDDJ and Cuica will welcome back the parade with a dance party! MC Blue Horse Grandmother and Miss Frizzle will line up the best dressed to strut their stuff for the judges and audience cheers to hear who wins a prize! For those that want to keep walking, grab a bucket from SOLVE and take a litter pickup walk!

This year’s festival is organized by the volunteer efforts of Making Earth Cool, 350 PDX, Sunnyside Environmental School, & SOLVE.
