Our 2025 Annual Report is here!
Sometimes when you’re charting an uphill course it’s easy to forget to look back and see how far you’ve come. This fall, in the wake of a firestorm of federal assaults on our forests, we took the time to pull together a snapshot of the last year at Bark—and it was just the kind of reminder we needed to affirm how critical our work is. We’re sharing our 2025 Annual Report with you, our supporters and collaborators in celebration of the wins we’ve had together—because who doesn’t need something to celebrate right now.
The period covered in this Annual Report, our fiscal year from July 1st, 2024 to June 30th, 2025, reflects a year of tangible wins for the forest and the people who defend it. Together, we saved mature and old-growth forest stands from logging projects, expanded public access to information that holds the Forest Service accountable, leveraged our survey data to provide critical updates to the National Wetland Inventory, and deepened relationships with Tribal partners and local communities. We trained hundreds of volunteers to read the land, speak up for it, and act in its defense—building a movement as interconnected and resilient as the forest itself.
Looking ahead, Bark is focused on strengthening the foundations of that movement: expanding our community of forest defenders, restoring beaver habitat and wetland ecosystems to protect our region’s water supply, and building the legal and scientific capacity needed to challenge the next wave of threats to Mt. Hood.
As you read our 2025 Annual Report, we hope you’ll take a moment to celebrate these wins—and to see your own role in this work reflected in every success.
If you believe in protecting Mt. Hood as much as we do, support our work.
