It’s here! Bark’s 2026 Annual Report
What can a community accomplish when people come together to protect the places they love? Bark’s 2026 Annual Report offers a few answers.
During our 2026 fiscal year (July 1, 2025-June 30, 2026), Bark staff and volunteers helped secure the removal of more than 1,000 acres, including mature forests and sensitive wetlands, from the Anvil Creek project. We helped organize a coalition to challenge a proposed transfer of Mt. Hood National Forest land to The Dalles, bringing a little-known bill into the public eye and building public pressure against it. And we brought hundreds of people together to learn about, explore, and care for the forest we all depend on.
These wins didn’t happen on their own. They took a community of people who were willing to show up, gather evidence, speak out, and keep going, even when the odds were stacked against us.
Our annual report looks back at what we accomplished together in the past fiscal year, shares stories from the people who make this work possible, and offers a glimpse of what’s ahead.
As threats to public lands mount and the work of protecting Mt. Hood grows more urgent, we need this community more than ever. If you’re able, please consider making a gift to support Bark’s ongoing work. Your contribution helps us put people in the field, hold decision-makers accountable, and keep building the grassroots power it takes to protect Mt. Hood for the long haul.
