Bark Community Space

Bark's headquarters are located in the inner east-side of Portland, OR and serve as a library, meeting and workshop space, and office for our staff. We are open 9-5 pm on weekdays. You can find more about our ongoing events such as a monthly Ecology Club and Kid's Night. Contact Courtney to schedule a time to come in and learn more about getting involved by calling 503-331-0374.

Our address is 351 NE 18th Ave, just north of Sandy Blvd. The entrance is down a ramp, off the sidewalk, next to the parking area for the Circuit Climbing Gym. Some features to know about visiting our space.

  • Our presentation area comfortably fits 20-40 people for our workshops, trainings and speakers;
  • The space has ground-level entrance, wheel-chair accessibility and gender-neutral restrooms;
  • The location is close to Tri-Met Bus Lines 12, 19 and 20 and about a mile from the Lloyd Center Max Station;
  • We have an area with toys, books, and coloring setup for kids.

Finding this space in 2015 was remarkably lucky for Bark. The rising cost of rent in Portland is not only squeezing out low-income residents, but also many small nonprofits and community initiatives like Bark. We know that this opportunity brings the responsibility of sharing our resources. Having the ability to host coalition meetings, present speakers and continuing education opportunities and many other programming additions is a priority for Bark. If you're interested to co-host an event here, let us know.
