Using Colonizers: Botanical Prints

Let’s take an in-depth look at the history of some highly invasive local flowers. We’ll look into why they were introduced, what ways they’ve impacted our PNW environment and how we can use them responsibly. When we remove their flowers from the environment, we can prevent seeds from forming and therefore future spreading.
This will include all the materials you need to create a printed tote bag. If you want to bring some personal blooms to experiment with, you may!
Invasive flowers to prioritize: Scotch Broom, Butterfly Bush, Clematis
The location of the workshop itself will be indoors at Bark’s Office at 351 NE 18th Avenue, Portland, OR. 97232. This event will be classroom-style learning so bring pencil and paper if you want to take notes. Gender-neutral restrooms will be available.
Thank you!
