White River Grazing Allotment

The White River Grazing Allotment is located in the Barlow District, just south of the Grasshopper Grazing Allotment. As of 2013 one active permit exists on the allotment and a second permit was recently vacated administratively by the Forest Service. The Forest Service is currently udnergoing pre-NEPA surveys for this allotment, activity which has been delayed due to budget constraints. Meanwhile grazing continues in this area as it has been open to ranchers since the early 1900s.
