Now Hiring – Executive Director

We’re hiring! Bark is seeking a passionate and values-driven Executive Director with experience in environmental advocacy and nonprofit management to guide the organization into its next chapter of growth and impact.
For over two decades, Bark has played a vital role in protecting Mt. Hood National Forest by amplifying community voices, challenging destructive logging projects, and advocating for land management that prioritizes ecological integrity and public accountability. With a passionate staff, strong Board, and more than 25,000 engaged supporters who rely on and connect with the forest, we’re looking for a leader who shares our love of place-based advocacy, values environmental justice and collaboration, and is ready to play a key role in navigating emerging threats from the timber industry and rapidly changing federal policies.
Visit our Jobs and Internships page for further details and a full job description. Applications received by September 2 will be given priority consideration. We aim to have the position filled by January 2026, with flexibility for an earlier start date.
