Forest Watch Committee: Northwest Forest Plan Edition

Bark Groundtruthers review notes from surveying the Stone Creek project area

Bark’s Forest Watch Committee is a core group of dedicated volunteers who meet on the third Tuesday of each month to discuss timber projects on Mt Hood and strategize our groundtruthing response. It’s a great place to stay informed about issues that impact our local National Forest, interpret Forest Service management documents, and be in community with other passionate and caring people.

During February’s meeting we will spend a majority of the time discussing the ongoing amendment to the Northwest Forest Plan, a critical piece of federal forest policy. Want to know more about the amendment and get tips for writing your own comments? Join us! No previous experience or knowledge required!

Where: Bark Office 351 NE 18th Ave, Portland, OR 97232

Time: 6-8pm

What to bring: Bringing yourself is most important. Other than that, bring a computer or something to take notes!
