Bark Out: Edible & Medicinal Plants at Wildwood Park
Let’s be present in nature! One of the best ways to know your forest is to know what’s in it. Join Haley Spadafora for a walk at Wildwood Park, where we will focus on edible and medicinal plants, as well as some common forest plants. This walk is tailored for beginners, but plant experts are welcome to attend and share their knowledge!
Where: Wildwood Recreation Area at the Cascades Streamwatch Trail – Salmon Statues. 45.350021, -121.992832
Bring appropriate gear for walking through the shade and stopping frequently. Wildwood has some amenities, like several bathrooms and many benches, and is a fairly accessible path. That being said, we may do some work off path, so make sure you have appropriate shoes. Bring water and snacks just in case!
Gear that could enhance your time: guidebooks, binoculars, loops, small bags for collecting.
