Volunteer at the People's Forest Forum!

Calling all volunteers!

The People’s Forest Forum for the Future of Mt. Hood is happening this Saturday, April 15th and we need some helping hands to make sure all goes smoothly!

If you can help with any of the following tasks, please let Courtney know!

Congratulations on a great People's Forest Forum!

On a gloriously sunny Saturday, more than 100 people filled the Sunnyside Community Center to discuss the future of Mt. Hood National Forest at the People’s Forest Forum (event details below).  Attendees learned about fire ecology, the impacts of climate change on forests, how recreationists can become forest advocates, and why the outdated 27-year old forest management plan needs to change!

The People's Forest Forum and the Future of Mt. Hood

I want to tell you a story. In two weeks it will be two years since I joined Bark’s staff as Community Organizer. In those two years I have learned so much about this community, our movement, and what it means to be truly dedicated to a place. But I won’t tell that story today. I want to tell you the story of the next two years.
